SFT Soup Kitchen

The St. Francis Table Soup Kitchen feeds 500 to over 700 people every Saturday.  The only requirement for the people to be fed, is that they are hungry.  Several organizations including parishes, religious denominations, colleges, high schools and companies participate in preparing and serving the food.

SFT Sandwich & Snack Ministry

The Morning Sandwich and Snack Ministry provides a basic breakfast of sandwiches, snacks, water and a cup of coffee to those in need.

SFT Community Market

The Shrine relies heavily on community donations of canned goods and dry food to meet the growing need for emergency food assistance.

Haiti Outreach

The Haiti Outreach group communicates with our sister parish Notre Dame de la Nativite in Malfety. Our parish has a regular collection to support our community in Haiti. We share our common experiences both personal and faithful - a community to community connection. Thus, we are creating an opportunity to nurture real and long-term relationships.

Night Shelter Foot Care

Night Shelter Footcare is an opportunity to be with guests at our Shelter and respond to the Gospel's call to be in the company of and serve the poor.

This very rewarding experience is available on Wednesday nights, November 1 through March 31. Some required training is provided so that volunteers can take care of guest's weary feet.

Pride Outreach

The Shrine has always welcomed all of God's children. During PRIDE week each year, we celebrate God's diversity by maintaining a booth in the park.

For more information about Pride outreach at the Shrine please email contactus@catholicshrineatlanta.org

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The Shrine’s Society of St. Vincent de Paul is part of an international society of friends united by a spirit of poverty, humility, and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, and adherence to the founding principle of charity.

Check donations for this worthy charity can be made out to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the Shrine I.C. and either mailed to the Shrine (48 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303) or put into the Sunday collection basket.

Bashor Night Shelter

There are approximately 14,000 homeless people in the city of Atlanta. Each year from November 1 to March 31, The Shrine ministers to a small portion of the homeless along with numerous organizations and churches by being a part of the Bashor Night Shelter.

The Shrine hosts 30-35 of the 100+ guests and by providing sack lunches, dinner and overnight assistance for approximately 30 of the 150 nights.
