The Parish Life Team of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception endeavors to intensify, strengthen and increase parishioner involvement in ministries by inviting parishioners to join ministries based on their gifts. We will encourage all parishioners to respond to God's call of full participation. All parishioners will be made aware of parish based ministries and non parish based ministries.

The Parish Life Team meets as a whole once a month for two hours.  Team members also serve actively on a subcommittee throughout the year.

Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception serves to guide, develop, and support the spiritual and temporal work of the parish and the initiatives raised by the needs and indications of its parishioners.

The Council acts as the sounding board for the needs of the parish and a motivational force for the activities that make our parish the unique, active, and caring place it is.

Our work includes:

  • Discerning the spiritual and temporal needs of the parish

  • Facilitating projects and activities that fulfill those needs

  • Assisting the pastor in realizing the parish's goals

  • Determining ways to maintain our parish's health, growth, and its sense of community

The Council tries to provide an instrument through which God's work can be accomplished in the work and life of The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. To contact the Pastoral Council, please send email to pastoralcouncil@catholicshrineatlanta.org.
