Social Media can be viewed as a tool, connecting us more than ever before. Being online is one of many ways we may instantaneously seek connection to each other and ourselves with status updates, Hearts, tender calls, and good morning wishes. Communion with each other, here on earth, is possible.
How can we uncomfortably stretch towards one another to seek communion?
Today is the beginning of Holy Week. A day filled with the breaking of bread, pardon granting, and celebratory preparations. I imagine that all who gathered with Christ are unknowing of what awaits tomorrow. A prayer echoed throughout time and space.
“Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
I often wonder how Christ’s betrayal is similar to our storied lives, how saint-makers provide us with Holy moments to respond with pardon, connection, and bread, perhaps even ketogenic.
Can our experiences be honored in every heart, soul, and mind?
With nothing to forgive, Earth would be a fulfilling and joyous place. Even if it takes us 491 days, one second or true love from a distance, Heaven on earth is possible at any given moment.
How can your Holy tools help in the continuation of Heaven on earth?
Whatever tools help you explore communion with others, yourself, or your soul, may they aid authentic connection, shared experiences, and most importantly, a celebration of the divine presence in us all.
May we continuously chose communion with you.
These reflections are meant to challenge us on our journey through Lent. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments with us.
