It is the mission of catechists at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to understand the importance of their role in the mission of the Catholic Church in teaching and imparting the lessons of faith to children. In doing so, teachers recognize children as individuals with different ways of learning and comprehending and use age-appropriate materials, resources, and techniques to impart the lessons of the Catholic faith. Moreover, they teach students the foundational and unique aspects of their faith and help them begin the lifelong process of learning about their relationship with their Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
The Shrine's Sunday School is for pre-K (four year olds) through 10th grade students and meets on Sundays from 9:45AM to 10:45AM.
If you need more information, are interested in enrolling a child, or would like to volunteer to help you can contact Damellys Sacriste at or at 404-521-1866
